Parent’s Information Session

Are Rabbits Good Pets for Children?

A one-hour information session to learn about what it takes to care for a pet rabbit.

Why is this info session important?

Do you know that 80% of rabbits surrendered to rescues are purchased for children? There is an urgent need to educate the public, especially parents with young children, about the care and needs of pet rabbits before they purchase one – especially around the time of Easter holidays in which is when shortly after that rescues receive a substantial amount of surrendered pet rabbits!

How will the session run?

The first 30 minutes, I will be speaking about rabbit care and needs, covering a wide range of topics from interactions with children/other pets to diet, housing and vet costs. Then there will be a Q&A time followed by time for parents to mingle and view information and resources that I will provide on the table. Parents will also have the opportunity to purchase my signed picture book at a special price.
